   Opp Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal  and exotics veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.

    Our practice is primarily  small animal, avian, and exotics  medicine and surgery.  We offer extensive diagnostics, such as radiography,  in house diagnostic bloodwork, and ultrasound.  We are able to provide in-house results on complete comprehensive work ups and  complete blood counts with differntials,occult heartworm tests, FIV and FELEUK tests .

   This spring we added the companion laser for wound and pain management.This year I attended my  30th veterinary school renuion at Auburn University. I enjoyed seening classmates as well as expanding my knowledge in contining education.  In August of this year I attended th AAV Conference in Savannah Georgia. I am an active member of the Avian Association of Veterinarians and attend nearly 50 hours of CE every year. In January 2009 I attended  The North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando Florida. This is the largest Veterinary Conference in the World.  This meeting offers another 50  hours of education in every area immaginable. I attended a speciality lab on blood pressure. At the end of the lab I purchaced another blood pressure monitor and co2 monitor for your pets safety during anesthesia and for use in preventive medicine.

   We also are a member of VIN Veterinary Information Network. This allows quick internet information about our on going cases. You can answer a lot of your own questions by using our VIN website.    I go to extensive continuning education courses and read daily about my cases.  We offer pain management and wound healing laser treatments.  We also have electronic EKGs, a blood pressure unit and an electrosurgery unit.  The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, a new state of the art in-house x-ray , a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.
